This was a job for the Franciscan brothers in Killiney. The Oratory had not been painted in many years and as there were a lot of candles lighting every day the walls and woodwork were very dirty and had to be washed with sugar soap before it could be painted. It was a pleasure to work on such a beautiful building and the rooms came back to life with the fresh paintwork.

Painting Attic Ceiling & Banisters

There is a lot of work in painting wooden ceilings with the grooved timber and overhead reaching but it can transform an attic room or hallway.

Repainting Wooden Ceiling

The wooden ceiling in this house was pine, it had gone very orange over the years and it had a high gloss finish.

The client was thinking of pulling it down and getting a plasterer in – we recommended painting it in an off white flat finish – it took a coat of primer a lot of filler and 3 coat of paint and not only did i look great it completely changed the look and brightened up the room.

Painting PVC windows and doors – inside & out

We were asked if it was possible to paint pvc windows and doors inside and out and yes is the answer – you can paint just about anything as long as you use the right primer.
There was nothing wrong with the windows and doors but the client just wanted a change and to modernise the look of the house, she went with an eggshell finish and was delighted with the results.

Stripping & repainting house exterior

This house had been painted many times before and the paint always flaked and peeled off, this was because it was not being prepared properly before painting.

We had to strip the old paint off, use a stabilizer on the bare walls and then paint with a good quality masonry paint, once this is done there are no further problems.

Repainting exterior facade of house

The external facade, windows and doors of this house had become tired and weather beaten.
Freshening up the paint work and harmonising the colour of the windows and door gives the impression that they are new and traditional to suit the style of the house. It need not cost a fortune to update your property!
